Death in Keeping the Sabbath

Would you die for truth? Would you keep the Sabbath as commanded in Scripture even unto Death? Would you die for Love?

With Truth

About Debylin

This was hard to watch… and yet many even today die for their faith…

Thank you for sharing this video. It is a testimony to courage. The name of the man was not mentioned, I think, in the video, so I did some research and found that there was a group called the “Subbotniki” or Sabbatarians who were persecuted by the Russian church at that time. Though they certainly have Biblical grounds for keeping the Sabbath on Saturday as do the Jews, they were a group who rejected the deity of Jesus. They saw him as a prophet who did miracles, but did not acknowledge His divinity. That is where I would part ways with them. I appreciate the modern movement of Messianic Judaism, but I don’t think we can call those who reject the divinity of Jesus Christians in the Biblical sense. It is good to search out the things we believe, and to hold close to the Bible in all questions of life and doctrine.

Hi Aimee, Yes Aimee there was a group called Subbontniki, but this man belonged to a different group. And your right we have to search and be careful of what doctrine we believe. Thanks for your comment and for taking the time to search it out… that’s a rare thing now -adays… this is who the martered person was: This info was taken from Wiki: They had some different kinds of customs some good some not so good… unlike today.

The Old Believers did not accept the changes and continued to worship as in the old ways. These Old Believers became subject to persecution and many fled to Siberia. Their beliefs still survive
Interesting, except Old Believers are not Sabbatarian.
